We Practice Together
- Four shared practices: The early believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers.
- The apostles' teaching calls believers to engage God's Word beyond Sunday.
- Fellowship is a shared life that requires more than a brief weekly greeting.
- Breaking bread points to Communion and remembrance of the gospel.
- Prayer includes both corporate and personal dependence on God.
- Fuel for the mission: Austin compared these practices to the nutrition an endurance athlete needs to keep going.
- Awe together: He connected the church's devotion with the awe described in verse 43 and urged believers to consider where they feel spiritually depleted.
- Description and prescription: Acts records unique events and also patterns that should shape Spirit-filled Christian life.

We Win Together
- The church's scoreboard: Austin asked how the church should measure success and pointed to the final verse of Acts 2.
- Worship God: The church wins when its life glorifies God. Worship is a lifestyle, not only a Sunday song.
- Win people: The Lord added those who were being saved. God gives favor and works through his people as they live authentically on mission.
- Continue the mission: Austin repeated the prior week's application: identify your Jerusalem circle, pray for one person by name, and watch for opportunities to care and speak into that person's life.
Supporting references used in the sermon: Matthew 16:18; Acts 1:8.
